D.K. Metcalf dunks on Dallas writer over Warriors, Seahawks predictions

You can count Seattle wide receiver D.K. Metcalf among those who will be pulling for the Warriors.

The Seattle Seahawks won’t start their 2022 season for another four months, but another league is hitting its stride. This evening the NBA’s Western Conference finals begin between the favored Golden State Warriors and the underdog Dallas Mavericks.

You can count Seattle wide receiver D.K. Metcalf among those who will be pulling for the Warriors. He’s predicting Golden State in five.

That brought on this quote tweet from Mavericks writer Isaac Harris, who said the Seahawks will be lucky to win five games this year.

Metcalf responded in kind.

Some advice for those who want to try embarassing professional athletes on Twitter: don’t.

While five wins is a bit harsh, we’re not expecting Seattle to do much better. We’re predicting a 6-11 or 7-10 record this season at best.

As for the WCF, Luka Doncic is going to be the next big thing in the NBA, but the Warriors have a lot more postseason experience and starpower. Golden State in seven.
