D.J. Humphries impressed by how dialed in whole Cardinals roster is

The veteran left tackle for the Cardinals says the feeling around the team is “one of those feelings you don’t get every year.”

The Arizona Cardinals had a shortened in-person offseason this past spring. While they got less on-field work done than some previous years, they had a good focus, something that caught the attention of left tackle D.J. Humphries.

He was a guest on SiriusXM NFL Radio this week with hosts Bruce Murray and Kirk Morrison and he was asked about his impressions of the offseason work he did with the team.

“Getting back together for minicamp and seeing the focus of everybody, seeing how dialed in everybody from young guys like (rookie receiver) Rondale Moore all the way up to the older guys like (veteran tackle) Kelvin Beachum and how everyone is just so dialed in and everyone is focused, it’s one of those feelings you don’t get every year,” he said. “I see so much ownership in every room.”

He added, “it’s awesome to me to see.”

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury was pleased with the effort the player gave in the offseason.

Training camp begins at the end of the month. If the team can remain focused, perhaps this is the year that they can make it happen. They believe they can win. They have leaders and are hungry from missing the playoffs last year.

If all goes well, this is a team that can potentially compete at the highest level.
