Gameloft only just released its Disney-themed life sim, and the developer already has the first round of Disney Dreamlight Valley DLC in the works. The developers outlined their plan for adding new content in Dreamlight Valley in a thread on Twitter, where they announced Scar as the first new character and explained what issues they hope to address in patches.
“We’ve been blown away by the excitement you’ve brought to the valley, but also know there are still issues to be tackled,” Gameloft said on Twitter. “We know it can be frustrating to run into bugs or issues, so we appreciate your patience.”
Gameloft’s first priority is fixing bugs, which means the team couldn’t give a definitive Scar release date. However, the plan is to add him to the game in roughly three weeks’ time, which would be around the week of Oct. 17, 2022. Gameloft said the DLC date is separate from the Star Path end date, which is set to wrap up on Oct. 11, 2022.
Alongside Scar, players can expect new story content, improvements to photo mode, and new avatar poses. As for bugs, Gameloft is prioritizing console crashes, missing founder’s pack items, and issues resulting in lost progress first.
If you’re after a different kind of life sim in the meantime, EA announced The Sims 4‘s base game is free-to-play beginning next month.
