Former LSU women’s basketball guard [autotag]Kateri Poole[/autotag], who was dismissed from the program in December, has entered the transfer portal and intends to continue her basketball career.
That news was first reported by college basketball insider Talia Goodman of The Next.
A junior from the Bronx who arrived at LSU as a transfer from Ohio State before the 2022-23 season, Poole was a key role player on last year’s national title-winning squad. She appeared in 35 games with six starts while averaging 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds.
She only appeared in four games this season, however. Her final appearance came in a win over Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 17. On Dec. 10, coach [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag] announced she had been dismissed from the team for undisclosed reasons.
Poole averaged 2 points and 1.8 rebounds across her four appearances this season.
