By almost any account, floor generals like Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shea Gilgeous-Alexander, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, and Portland Trail Blazers veteran star Damian Lillard are among the very best point guards in the NBA right now.
But are there 15 more flor generals in the league who are a better option to play the 1 for a ball club than Boston Celtics vet guard Derrick White? At least one recent set of rankings from HoopsHype which listed the 24 best point guards in the NBA felt that White was only the 21st-best floor general in the Association.
Too low? Just right? Or did the HoopsHype analysis rank the Colorado native a bit too high?
The hosts of the “How About Them Celtics!” podcast weighed in on the ranking in a recent episode; check out the clip embedded above to hear their thoughts on White’s assessment.
