Jayson Tatum hit the shot of the young season on Wednesday night. The Celtics were trailing by one with a few seconds left in the fourth quarter, when Tatum got the ball off the inbounds, stepped back from way beyond the 3-point line, and heaved up a prayer.
The ball banked high off the glass and rocketed down into the hoop, giving the Celtics a two-point lead. With just 0.4 seconds left, the Bucks were able to get the ball in to Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was fouled … but he missed one of his free throws and the Celtics won the game.
But the big question after was: Did Tatum need to call glass on his game-winning shot?

Interviewers asked Tatum’s teammates and the man himself after the game if he called glass (we don’t think so), and, more importantly, if he needed to.
We’ve thought long and hard about this question and come up with the following answer:
Nah. Nah he didn’t.
