We are inching closer and closer to the start of a new college baseball season and it should be another exciting one for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
While their season ended in disappointment last season, North Carolina returns a lot of production and is expected to be a team that makes the tournament again this year. Now, with about a month to go, the rankings are coming out and D1Baseball has ranked their top teams.
For North Carolina, they are No. 15 in the initial poll of the top 25 teams in the nation.

North Carolina went 36-24 last season and finished the year unranked in the polls. They did that without their star, Vance Honeycutt, over the final few weeks of the season.
As for the rest of the Atlantic Coast Conference, Walke Forest took the top spot at No. 1 overall followed by No. 10 Clemson, No. 12 Duke, No. 13 NC State and No. 14 Virginia.
