DeVonta Smith’s meaningless last-second lateral fumble turned into a horrible bad beat

This was a brutal bad beat.

Jalen Hurts threw a pass to Quez Watkins, who lateraled to DeVonta Smith … who tried to throw it backwards as he was being tackled.

The ball found the ground and went right into the hands of Casey Toohill, who ran it in for a touchdown.
