PASS with a “lean” to the A’s (-185) because I’d entertain putting them in a money line parlay with a similarly priced favorite for a plus-money payout. But, Oakland at -185 to win straight up? Nah, I’m good.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)
I’m okay laying the run-and-a-half with Oakland in this spot considering how bad Urena’s April splits are throughout his career.
Urena is 1-10 in April with his highest ERA (5.36 ERA) and highest WHIP (1.50 WHIP) of any month. The only reason there aren’t more losses in this sample size is that Urena’s first seven appearances in April were out of the bullpen.
Also, Montas look good in his last start vs. a quality Astros team and his ERA is bloated due to getting raked in his 2021 debut against the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
I could give you stats, but simply put, the Tigers ain’t the Dodgers. BET ATHLETICS -1.5 (+105) for a half-unit.
Furthermore, I’d put another half-unit on ATHLETICS -0.5 (-115) FIRST 5 INNINGS because Oakland is ranked 27th in bullpen ERA so far this season and the Tigers scored two runs in the top of the 9th last night.
Over/Under (O/U)
Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 8.5 (-105) for a quarter-unit if at all because I prefer the Oakland side more so than the total.
However, the A’s are 9-4 O/U this season, I envision Oakland smacking Urena around Friday night and Detroit’s bullpen is dead-last in ERA so even if Oakland doesn’t rake Urena the Over can still hit.
