The Detroit Pistons (13-65) and Philadelphia 76ers (44-35) meet at Wells Fargo Center Tuesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Pistons vs. 76ers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
Season series: 76ers lead 3-0
The Pistons are coming off a cover as 10.5-point underdogs in a 113-103 loss to the Brooklyn Nets Saturday with the total (216) pushing at Barclays Center. Detroit led by 15 points with 7:49 remaining, before allowing a 29-4 Nets run to close out the game.
The 76ers, sans C Joel Embiid (rest), covered as 3-point favories with a 133-126 double-overtime win at the San Antonio Spurs Sunday as the Over (225) hit. G Tyrese Maxey scored a career-high 52 points for the 76ers, who have covered the spread in 7 straight games.
The 76ers are 2-1 ATS vs. the Pistons this season, and the Under has also gone 2-1. In their most recent meeting (Dec. 15), Philadelphia covered as a 15.5-point favorite in a 124-92 victory with the Under (235.5) cashing at Wells Fargo Center. Embiid had a game-high 35 points.

Pistons at 76ers picks and predictions
Prediction
76ers 110, Pistons 107
Moneyline
The 76ers (-1600) are riding high. Embiid is healthy, they’ve won 5 in a row, and the playoffs are just around the corner. However, I don’t want to risk $1,600 to win $100 and fade a Pistons team that will be motivated to avoid the season sweep.
PASS. Bet the spread and/or total instead.
Against the spread
I have teams with 2 completely different mindsets heading into this one.
The Pistons are embarrassed after blowing a 19-point lead last time out, while the 76ers erased a 7-point deficit in the final 1:40 of regulation to come back and win in double overtime.
The Pistons are still playing for pride and to end the season on somewhat of a high note. I want no part of the complacent 76ers who have already clinched a postseason berth.
BET PISTONS +15 (-110).
Over/Under
Detroit is not exactly a juggernaut on offense (27th in offensive efficiency), and the 76ers may be looking to rest some pieces in an attempt to guarantee full health for a deep playoff run.
Looking at the injury report, a low-scoring game seems to be the more likely outcome Tuesday.
LEAN UNDER 220 (-110).
