Could the 2024 NFL draft really be heading to Detroit? The team president of one of the Lions’ NFC North rivals provided some optimistic insight on that possibility.
In a pre-combine conference call with reporters, Green Bay Packers team president Mark Murphy dropped info that there are three finalist cities being considered to host the 2024 draft. Detroit is one of those three, along with Green Bay and Washington. The league is expected to announce the winning city during the owner’s meetings later this offseason.
Detroit has been attempting to land the draft for several years, applying to host the rotating event as early as 2017. This year’s draft will be in Las Vegas, following last year’s blustery draft in Cleveland. The 2023 NFL draft will be in Kansas City.
