Despite some clutch shooting by Tyler Herro, Heat drop Game 4 to Bucks

The Heat rookie was the No. 2 trending topic after hitting several clutch shots late during a Game 4 loss to the Bucks.

Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro hit perhaps the biggest shots of his young career on Sunday but his effort was not enough as the Milwaukee Bucks walked away with a 118-115 overtime win in Game 4.

The Bucks played much of the contest without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who left the game in the second quarter after landing awkwardly on his injured right ankle. Khris Middleton scored 21 of his 36 points in the second half, while Eric Bledsoe and Brook Lopez each had 14 to lead the Bucks.

The effort by the Bucks negated a strong finish to the game by Herro, who hit three clutch 3-pointers in the final minute of the fourth quarter and overtime period. Herro began his barrage of shots after he drained a 3-pointer with 58.3 seconds left in regulation to put the Heat up by one point.

On the other end of the floor, Donte DiVincenzo split a pair of free throws after he was fouled with 1.9 seconds left to tie the game and send it to overtime. Herro then connected on two additional 3-pointers in the final 30.1 seconds of regulation to keep the Heat alive until the final buzzer.

Jimmy Butler has often spoken very highly of Herro this season and has even said that he doesn’t play like a rookie. Herro has often never backed down from a challenge on the court and the moment on Sunday, albeit in a losing effort, proved to be no match for him.

Herro only had two points prior to his 3-point barrage but he remained engaged to continue to shoot. He has displayed a strong level of confidence in his game throughout the season and that was certainly on display late in Game 4.

The shooting display by Herro late in the game catapulted his name to the No. 2 trending topic on Twitter afterward as fans walked away impressed with his clutch aerial assault.

Game 5 between the two teams is set for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
