Desmond Ridder pretended to freeze like a Madden glitch after ingeniously drawing Texans offsides

Desmond Ridder wasn’t afraid to have a little fun this week against the Texans.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder waited until the week after the Toy Story broadcast to have some fun on the football field.

After struggling mightily against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, Ridder bounced back in a big way against the Houston Texans in Atlanta with his best professional start to date.

Ridder threw for 329 yards and a touchdown and rushed for another touchdown as the Falcons’ passing game really came alive for the first time this season against an ascending Texans team.

The quarterback’s Sunday was so positive that he was able to orchestrate a hard count that caught the Houston defensive line offsides on four separate occasions.

On the third attempt, Ridder even joked around on the field and stayed frozen in his snap count stance after the play had been blown dead, kind of like a Madden player on a glitching video game screen.

Y’know, Ridder overcame some calls for his benching in Sunday’s win, so it’s always great to see a young quarterback shake off a couple of bad starts to get back on track.

It’s the hardest position in the game, after all, and young guys like Ridder deserve the chance to figure things out before the book is written on their careers.

At the very least, his home record remains perfect at the college and professional levels. If that’s not worth glitching over, we’re not sure what is.
