While Sunday’s matchup against the Houston Texans wasn’t exactly a must-win game for the Atlanta Falcons, it was about as close as you can get to one in the fifth week of the season.
The Falcons needed a late field goal to secure their 21-19 victory over the Texans, but they got the job done and now sit at 3-2 after five games. Quarterback Desmond Ridder made some major strides, throwing for a career-best 329 passing yards with zero turnovers.
Ridder earned the offense’s highest Pro Football Focus grade in Week 5. Cornerback Dee Alford led the entire team with a 90.7 grade. Check out the team’s top 20 PFF grades from Sunday’s win.
