Former Clemson star quarterback Deshaun Watson has been dealing with a right shoulder injury, that has caused the quarterback to miss the Cleveland Browns last two games.
Meeting with the media on Wednesday, Watson was asked if he has a chance to suit up against the Colts. According to Watson, he thinks so, but it depends on the medicals.
“It just depends on the process of the medical stuff and the treatment and the rehab that we’re doing day to day,” he said. “So, it’s up in the air for sure. “They said it wasn’t anything worse than a strained rotator cuff.”
While Watson is getting better by the day and is labeled as “day-to-day”, there is no true timetable for his return. He doesn’t want to put his team in a bad situation if he isn’t physically capable of delivering on the field.
“It could be tomorrow, it could be Sunday, it could be two weeks from now. I’m not even sure,” Watson said. “I can’t put a timeline on anything right now.”
We will have to wait for the next update on whether Watson will be ready for Sunday’s matchup against the Colts.
#Browns Deshaun Watson confirmed what I wrote last week: it’s a strained rotator cuff. Micro-tears. He might play Sunday, he might not pic.twitter.com/6aBiASxsax
