DeShaun Foster throws out first pitch at UCLA softball game amid head coaching rumors

DeShaun Foster threw out the first pitch at the UCLA softball game on Sunday.

The UCLA Bruins coaching search has been extremely tight-lipped. Rumors have swirled, and others have been shut down, including P.J. Fleck and the Brent Brennan buzz.

On Sunday, former UCLA assistant DeShaun Foster, who recently took a job with the Las Vegas Raiders, threw out the first pitch at a UCLA softball game, per Felicia Keller of The Daily Bruin.

Foster’s name has been a popular one in UCLA circles by both fans and players. He just left for the Raiders job at the beginning of February.

However, with Chip Kelly suddenly bolting Westwood to go to Ohio State, Foster could be a name that Martin Jarmond considers, especially given the support from the players.

The timing of Foster throwing out the first pitch at the UCLA game is something, although this was probably planned before the job became open.

Either way, it’s something to monitor in a busy time around the UCLA Bruins football program.
