DeShaun Foster says Bruins are ‘running to the fight’ in 2024

The DeShaun Foster era is here.

There has been unavoidable hype surrounding the Bruins in 2024. After an injection of youth and excitement into UCLA’s coaching staff, the Bruins look to be a scrappy underdog in their first season in the BIG Ten.

First-year head coach DeShaun Foster knows this all too well. In a sit-down interview with the BIG Ten Network, Foster spoke on what the Bruins are going to look like this season in a video posted on X.

“One thing you’re going to see is our three pillars: discipline, respect, and enthusiasm. But we’re the type of team that ‘we’re running to the fight,’ Foster started.

“We’re looking forward to who we have to play and wherever we have to play them. There’s not going to be any shying away from anything or not being prepared. Our guys are going to be fired up to get out there and play.”

While the Bruins may not have lofty expectations in the win-loss column for 2024, a lot is riding on Foster’s execution as a head coach. If he can follow through on his promises, and at the very least, steer the team towards a bright future, he could see himself finding success down the road for years to come with the program.
