Redshirt freshman running back DeSean Bishop enters his second season with Tennessee in 2024. He did not appear in any games last season and earned a redshirt.
The 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back has appeared in both contests for the Vols in 2024 — wins against Chattanooga and North Carolina State.
Bishop has totaled 102 rushing yards and one touchdown on 15 attempts this season. He also recorded one reception for 10 yards.
Bishop met with media on Tuesday ahead of Tennessee’s Week 3 contest versus Kent State. He was asked to evaluate his game through two games.
“I think I’ve done solid, a solid job of just getting back to my flow,” he said. “Being two years out of not playing football, I think I did a good job of attacking that.
“Things I’m trying to improve on is just my overall play, pad-level and stuff like that. Just trying to get a good feel for the game. I feel like I’ve done a solid job of taking everything, making my reps count that I’m getting.”
Bishop did not play in 2023 for Tennessee after suffering a preseason injury.
