Derrick Henry watched Ravens AFC Title game loss and wished he was playing

“Hell yes .. I was wishing I could suit up that day [when I was] watching that game,” Henry said to the club’s official site.

The season-opening kickoff is so close that you can start counting the hours. As you obviously already know, it all begins with the rematch of last year’s AFC championship game, except this time, it’s on the road for the Baltimore Ravens.

Derrick Henry was strongly linked with joining Baltimore just ahead of last year’s trade deadline, and these trade rumors no doubt got the idea of being a Raven in his head.

When asked if he wished he could have played a part in last year’s conference title tilt, Henry responded in the affirmative.

“Hell yes .. I was wishing I could suit up that day [when I was] watching that game,” Henry said to the club’s official site.

“But yes, now it’s my turn, so [I have] to take advantage of it. It’s going to be a hell of a game.”

While the expert predictions and betting odds are against Henry and company, he trusts in this offensive unit’s ability to lead the way to victory.

“[We’re] going to do our job and executing. It’s all tied in together, [and] we all trust one another,” Henry added.

It will be a tremendous challenge, as they’re going to the home of the reigning champions. So, pulling off an upset here would significantly boost overall sentiment for the upcoming season.
