Nuggets 112, Lakers 106

Money line (ML)

The Lakers (-200) are the moneyline favorites in this contest to close out the NUGGETS (+165) in Game 5. However, if we have learned anything in this playoffs, it is that Denver is nearly impossible to put away. They play their best when their backs are against the wall and will play with urgency. Considering the odds, take Denver to win this game and extend the series Saturday night.

Line/Against the spread (ATS)

The NUGGETS (+5, -110) are two-basket underdogs to the Lakers on Saturday night in Game 5. Denver has been incredible against the spread as of late, covering or pushing in 12 of their last 15 contests. With PF Anthony Davis banged up with an ankle injury, expect the Lakers’ offense to look a bit sluggish, allowing Denver to stay in this contest. If the money line is too risky of a bet, don’t be afraid of taking the Nuggets and the five points in this contest.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total for this Western Conference Finals matchup is set at 214.5 points, which feels low considering how this series has gone. These two teams have combined for 220 or more points in three of their four games with Game 2 being the only low-scoring contest. Each side has a variety of ways they can score and both teams can get to the free-throw line at a high rate. Don’t expect a ton of points to be scored in this game, but for the OVER to ultimately hit in this do-or-die game for the Nuggets.
