Analyzing Thursday’s Denver Nuggets at San Antonio Spurs odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Denver Nuggets (12-12) close out their seven-game road trip with the first of two games against the San Antonio Spurs (8-15) Thursday. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. ET at AT&T Center. Below, we look at the Nuggets vs. Spurs odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Nuggets had lost six games in a row before the start of this current road trip but have alternated wins and losses through the first five games of the stretch. They beat the New Orleans Pelicans 120-114 Wednesday.

The Spurs have been streaky. They recently lost six straight games but followed that up with a four-game win streak. They have lost their last two games in a row heading into Thursday’s affair.

Nuggets at Spurs odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Spurs 108, Nuggets 104

Money line

The Nuggets have alternated wins and losses over their last five contests, making them 3-2 in that stretch but those are their only three wins in their last 11 games. They are only 5-8 on the road and 7-6 against other teams in the Western Conference.

The Spurs have lost two straight but had won their previous four games. They are only 3-11 against Western Conference teams but two of those wins came in their last four games.

I like the home team tonight. Take the SPURS (-120).

Against the spread

The Nuggets are only 10-14 ATS on the season and their three wins in the last 11 games are the only ones in which they have covered the spread.

The Spurs had a streak of five straight games covering the spread broken Wednesday. They are 13-10 ATS overall and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games.

Expecting the Spurs to win the game outright, you can give yourself slightly more leeway with an ATS bet and the pricing difference (-120 vs. -110) is minimal.

Take the SPURS +1.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Exactly half of the Nuggets’ 24 games have gone Over the projected total. However, eight of their last nine games, and 10 of their last 12, have hit the Over — although only seven of them would be over tonight’s projected total.

The Spurs are 11-10-2 O/U this season. Five of their last eight games would be over tonight’s projected total. Four of their last six games have stayed Under the projected total.

These two teams combined for 198 points when played Oct. 22.

Take UNDER 214.5 (-108).
