Nuggets at Knicks: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Knicks 105, Nuggets 101
Money line (ML)
The Nuggets (-275) face a quick turnaround after winning in Philadelphia Saturday afternoon. They took advantage of a shorthanded 76ers side, but will struggle against the KNICKS (+220) and their lockdown defense. New York is a tremendous value on its home floor against a Denver team with tired legs.
Against the spread (ATS)
The KNICKS +6.5 (-110) are a great value at home catching more than three baskets, if you’re not feeling them straight-up. The Nuggets failed to cover in Philly, slipping to just 1-5 ATS across the past six games overall, and they’re just 2-5 ATS across the past seven as a road favorite. The Knicks have been a respectable 5-1 ATS in the past six as a dog, and 15-6 ATS in the past 21 when playing on one day of rest. That’s something Denver won’t be – rested.
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 215.5 (-105) is my favorite play on the entire NBA card Sunday. Yes, with Denver it’s been all Over all the time lately, going 4-0 in its past four road games and 7-3 in the second end of a back-to-back. But it could struggle against New York’s suffocating D. The Knicks are allowing just 104.1 PPG with a 43.4 opponent field-goal percentage, both second in the NBA, and they’re first in opponent 3-pointer percentage at 30.1%. The Knickerbockers also struggle to score, averaging just 102.7 PPG to check in 28th. It’s no surprise the Under has connected in six in a row for NYK.
