Denver Broncos general manager John Elway added 10 players to the team’s roster during the 2020 NFL Draft this weekend. Here’s a look at each of the team’s picks from the draft:
Round and Pick | Player |
Round 1, No. 15 | WR Jerry Jeudy |
Round 2, No. 46 | WR K.J. Hamler |
Round 3, No. 77 | CB Michael Ojemudia |
Round 3, No. 83 | OL Lloyd Cushenberry |
Round 3, No. 95 | DL McTelvin Agim |
Round 4, No. 118 | TE Albert Okwuegbunam |
Round 5, No. 178 | LB Justin Strnad |
Round 6, No. 181 | OL Netane Muti |
Roud 7, No. 252 | WR Tyrie Cleveland |
Round 7, No. 254 | DE Derrek Tuszka |
Jeudy and Hamler will likely become the team’s No. 2 and No. 3 wide receivers behind Pro Bowler Courtland Sutton. Ojemudia will probably compete for the CB3 job behind presumed starters A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan.
Cushenberry will “compete” for the center opening but it’s obvious that he is the favorite to win the job. Agim will join the defensive line rotation and Okwuegbunam will likely compete with Nick Vannett for TE2 duties.
Strnad will compete for rotational playing time on defense and contribute eon special teams. Muti will compete for one of the backup swing offensive linemen spots and Cleveland and Tuszka will compete for special teams roles.
After completing the draft, Elway will now begin signing undrafted free agents. We will be tracking all of the team’s UDFA signings here.
