Dennis Schroder, P.J. Tucker ejected from Thunder vs. Rockets Game 5

Dennis Schroder and P.J. Tucker ejected from the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Houston Rockets Game 5 in the first round of the playoffs.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dennis Schroder and Houston Rockets wing P.J. Tucker were ejected in the third quarter of Game 5 in the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets series on Saturday.

With about 6:51 to go in the quarter, Tucker set a screen on Thunder guard Dennis Schroder. As Schroder attempted to fight through it, his arm went between Tucker’s legs and he struck him in the groin.

As Schroder talked to the referee about the foul call, Tucker got up and started yelling at Schroder from behind.

Tucker bumped his head into Schroder’s head.

Both players were ejected from the game.

At the time, the Houston Rockets were up 67-49 and had outscored the Thunder 19-4 in the third quarter.

Schroder was excellent in his 21 minutes. He had 19 points, all of which came in the first half, and he was the best player on Oklahoma City over the first two-plus quarters Saturday.

Tucker had some scoring issues in Game 5. He had just five points on 2-for-5 shooting and was 1-for-5 from 3.
