The Paul George redemption narrative continues to be a possibility if the Los Angeles Clippers can fight their way back against the Phoenix Suns … but after the playoffs he’s had and the Game 5 he put together to win on Monday night (41 points, 13 boards, six dimes, three steals and just five missed shots), maybe that narrative is already complete even if the Clips lose.
His teammate DeMarcus Cousins seems to agree. After George’s night, Boogie took to the mic to defend PG.
“I don’t know where this trolling bull[expletive] comes from,” he said. “The internet controls the narrative about these players, it’s become foolish, man. I don’t understand the slander. That’s one of the most special players to ever lace his shoes up. Give this dude his flowers, man.”

Nailed it. Yes, there have been missed key free throws and some bad shooting games in recent years. But the overall resume speaks for itself: he’s one of the best two-way players in the game.
