DeMar DeRozan’s daughter helps distract Raptors at free throw line

It was Diar, not DeMar, who was the Most Valuable DeRozan in Wednesday’s win over Toronto.

On Wednesday night, the Chicago Bulls outlasted the Toronto Raptors in their play-in matchup, 109-105, as the Bulls overcame a 19-point deficit.

The Bulls were led by Zach LaVine’s 39-point performance, which included 30 points in the second half.

But, DeRozan had a big game as well — Diar DeRozan, that is.

DeMar’s daughter, Diar, sat underneath the basket and during every single free throw shot by the Raptors, she let out a vicious scream that could be heard all the way back to the United Center.

“I heard somebody and I looked back and was like, Damn, that’s my daughter?” DeRozan said after the win.

That was indeed your daughter, DeMar. And she played quite the supporting role for the Bulls in Wednesday’s victory as Toronto shot just 18-of-36 from the charity stripe in a four-point loss.

Not to say Diar was the sole reason why the Raptors struggled from the free throw line on Wednesday, but we’re not saying she wasn’t.

DeRozan said after the win that his daughter kept asking to come to the game in Toronto, and boy did it pay off.

“I said you can miss one day of school,” DeRozan said. “I’m glad I did .I owe her some money, for sure.”

With how Diar helped distract the Raptors on Wednesday, the Bulls might just need her in South Beach come Friday.
