The Chicago Bulls are looking to build on their playoff appearance from last season as the 2022-23 regular season kicks off next week.
For the Bulls to advance past the first-round, let alone make the playoffs again in a tough Eastern Conference, All-Star DeMar DeRozan will need to be knocking on the MVP discussion door once again this season.
On Friday, Bleacher Report released their top 100 NBA player ranking, which landed DeRozan at No. 34.
Andy Bailey explains:
In his age-32 campaign, DeMar DeRozan set a career high for points per game at 27.9. What’s really made him a problem since the start of the 2018-19 season, though, are his improvements as a passer and willingness to play as a nominal 4.
DeRozan’s time spent in San Antonio helped him become a more well-rounded offensive threat by opening up his ability as a playmaker. But, can DeRozan top his career-year from last season in 2022-23? It’s a daunting task but I wouldn’t bet against Deebo.
