The Chicago Bulls lost to the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night, shooting terribly from behind the three-point line. It was the first night of a back-to-back, too, as the Bulls then had to turn around and play the second-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. But they were ready to fight.
Despite the Cavaliers being up by as many as 12 points, including a double-digit lead in the third quarter, the Bulls stayed in it. They brought the game to double overtime and ended up earning a victory. They were frustrated about the Pistons game and took their anger out on the Cavaliers, coming out on top.
After the game, DeMar DeRozan spoke about the Bulls’ mentality throughout the game and how they need to act for the rest of the season. (H/t Joe Cowley off the Chicago Sun-Times)
“We stayed with it,” DeRozan said. “Guys just kept saying stick with it. It was tough, but we stuck with it. Will. It’s all will. We got a team full of guys that are all will.”
The Bulls are ready to scrap and claw their way to a playoff spot.
