DeMar DeRozan named All-Star starter in Eastern Conference

DeRozan makes his fifth All-Star appearance in his first season with the Bulls.

The Chicago Bulls have had a great first half of the season, as they currently sit as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

That success partly weighs in the shoulders of offseason acquisition DeMar DeRozan, who is having arguably the best year of his 13-year career.

On Thursday, DeRozan was named an All-Star starter for the Eastern Conference, his fifth appearance as an All-Star and first since 2017-18.

DeRozan is averaging 26.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.

Brooklyn’s Kevin Durant, Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid, and Atlanta’s Trae Young round out the starters for the Eastern Conference.

Stay tuned to Lonzo Wire to see if Zach LaVine makes the All-Star reserves.
