What a difference a few months can make. It was just back in September that former Dallas Mavericks point guard Delonte West was picked up from a gas station by Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban.
West was struggling with his mental health and was spotted homeless on the streets of Dallas. Cuban went to pick him up and helped him check into a rehabilitation facility in Florida, where he spent the next few months.
We got another update on West Tuesday and it’s a pretty great one. West has a job now at the rehab facility in Florida he was just attending in September, according to the Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Cuban remains in close contact with West and reunited him with his mother.

This is incredible news. It’s good to see West doing well for himself and working his way to where he is now.
Shouts to Cuban for putting things in motion and, more importantly, shouts to West for doing the work to get to this point. You absolutely love to see it.
