Appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show” Thursday morning, Adam “Pacman” Jones, broke the news that Colorado Buffaloes football head coach Deion Sanders will be undergoing emergency surgery Friday morning to fix a blood clot in his groin.
Sanders, however, later said that he has a blood clot in each of his thighs.
Sanders has dealt with blood flow issues for a few years now due to the injuries sustained during his playing career. As Sanders explained in a recent YouTube video, he has been walking around on a dislocated foot for the last 18-20 years. While he was head coach at Jackson State, Sanders had two toes amputated due to subsequent blood flow issues.
As we noted on Monday, those blood flow issues have seemingly worsened. Brian Howell of BuffZone tweeted an update from Sanders himself who said that amputation is not on the table for this procedure, rather it will help improve blood flow so he can undergo surgeries to fix his hammer toes and the dislocation of his foot.
From Colorado’s Deion Sanders: There is no talk of amputation (of the foot). And Friday’s procedure to fix blood clots is to help blood flow so he can get surgeries to fix hammer toes and dislocation of his foot. #cubuffshttps://t.co/qApqeDP07c
