The Colorado Buffaloes football program started slowly in Week 2 against Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. By the end of the game, Colorado earned the 36-14 win as Deion Sanders’ program moved to 2-0.
After being ranked No. 22 in the AP Poll following the TCU win, the Buffs should go up from here. Next week against Colorado State should be a perfect chance for the Buffs to move to 3-0.
Head coach Deion Sanders knows this is only the beginning for this football team.
“This team hasn’t scratched the surface on what it’s capable of doing,” Sanders said in his postgame presser.
That’s a scary thought, and we can only imagine how dangerous this team will be when everything comes together.
After a 500-plus-yard debut, Shedeur Sanders had 393 passing yards with two touchdowns and another rushing score. However, he was sacked seven times against Nebraska. Xavier Weaver led the Buffs in receiving with 10 catches for 170 yards and a touchdown. Travis Hunter had three catches for 73 yards.
It looked a lot different than the opener against TCU, but, as Coach Prime mentioned, this isn’t even scratching the surface.
