A Nebraska defensive line recruit has decommitted from the class of 2024.

A Nebraska defensive line recruit has decommitted from the class of 2024. Carlon Jones of Bay City, Texas, made the announcement on Tuesday night.

Well… God has changed my pathway. I appreciate all the love the coaches and fans have shown me. Thank y’all for believing in me. I really wanted to be a part of the change in the program, but unfortunately, that couldn’t happen. I am announcing my decommitment from the University of Nebraska. Thank y’all for everything, but I believe God does everything for a reason, so I’m going to trust in him. My recruitment is now open.

The four-star recruit ended his senior season for Bay City High School with 95 tackles, 17 sacks, 30 for loss, and 23 hurries. The recruit made his commitment to the Cornhuskers on June 29th. Ohio State has made a recent run at the lineman, who is now expected to take an official visit to Columbus on December 8.
