The Jets’ season has taken its toll on a lot of people, from the players and the coaches to the front office and fans.
And while New York’s 0-13 record has caused agita for many, it’s now being listed as a cause of death. A Newsday’s obituary jokingly suspected the Jets cause the death of 85-year-old Edward Michael Mazur of Brooklyn, New York.
“Beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, drew his last breath on December 9, 2020 mainly, we suspect, to avoid having to watch another Jets game,” Mazur’s obituary reads.
Mazur’s family members made sure to poke fun at his beloved Jets. Mazur’s favorite franchise is in danger of being the third team in NFL history to record an 0-16 record with just three games left to play.
The Jets will look to change their misfortunes this Sunday when they travel to Los Angeles. They enter Week 15 as 17-point underdogs against the Rams.
