It started as an Instagram post from DeAndre Hopkins on Feb. 16, and it ended up with J.J. Watt taking the message to heart.
Nearly two weeks after Hopkins shared a photo of him with Watt in Houston that said “Let’s finish what we started,” Watt surprised the NFL world with his decision to sign a two-year, $31 million contract with the Arizona Cardinals.
While Hopkins’ public recruitment of Watt was largely seen as something that wouldn’t pan out, the All-Pro wide receiver was predictably thrilled to see Watt go with the surprising choice of Arizona over Buffalo or Green Bay.
Hopkins took to Twitter and reacted with a brief clip from Bleacher Report.
