DeAndre Hopkins tweets he would redo contract for Julio Jones trade

Hopkins is on board with an unlikely trade for Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones.

It is believed that the Atlanta Falcons will trade star receiver Julio Jones. The question is where he will land.

While some have suggested the Arizona Cardinals could be a destination, pairing him with DeAndre Hopkins, most locally would think it wouldn’t be possible.

After all, the Cardinals just gave Hopkins a lucrative contract extension and, if traded, Jones would be expecting something similar.

However, Hopkins would be willing to move some money around.

He tweeted Friday that he was asked at his gym if he would restructure his contract to make room for Jones if the Cardinals traded for him.

He responded with a GIF indicating he would.

As exciting as this is, it still makes a deal difficult because of a potential extension for Jones and compensation the Falcons would want from the Cardinals.

But could you imagine a WR trio of Hopkins, Jones and A.J. Green, who signed with the Cardinals in the offseason as a free agent?

Opposing defenses would not be able to defend them. It would be like a Pro Bowl game, only the opponent doesn’t have three Pro Bowl cornerbacks.

Will the Cardinals trade for Jones? It would be shocking. However, knowing Hopkins is on board with the idea is something Cardinals fans should love.
