DeAndre Hopkins to visit Titans this weekend

The former Cardinals WR makes his first visit as a free agent this weekend as he will meet with the Titans.

Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, released by the Arizona Cardinals before Memorial Day, has a visit scheduled. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, he will make his first visit as a free agent on Sunday in Nashville to meet with  the Tennesse Titans.

Pelissero notes there are multiple teams in talks with Hopkins but his scheduled visit with the Titans is the first of mutual interest that we know of.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel was defensive coordinator of the Houston Texans in 2017-2018, two of the seasons Hopkins played there.

Hopkins has missed 15 games over the last two seasons due to injuries and a six-game PED suspension.

Last season, in only nine games, he caught 64 passes for 717 yards and three touchdowns.

Tennessee needs receiver help. They have 2022 first-round pick Treylon Burks but the rest of the group of receivers is not impressive. Hopkins would immediately make that group solid.

This could be the first of a few free agent visits, as Hopkins is expected to be patient in signing, looking for the balance between the situation and the contract he seeks.
