While the Cleveland Browns have issues upon issues with injuries going into Week 6, their opponent has some significant ones popping up this week.
As we covered, Chandler Jones is likely to miss Sunday’s contest for the Arizona Cardinals while Rodney Hudson will be out for the game, for sure. Kyler Murray was added to the injury report with an issue to his throwing shoulder that limited him in practice.
Thursday was the second practice in a row that star receiver DeAndre Hopkins missed practice due to an illness. While Hopkins has not been diagnosed with COVID-19, missing two practices could be cause for concern for the Cardinals.
With Arizona traveling east on Saturday, it will be interesting if Hopkins is able to practice on Friday and the team deems it healthy for him to travel the following day.
Without Hopkins, the Cardinals still have some very talented receivers with A.J. Green, Christian Kirk and Rondale Moore. None are capable of replacing Hopkins as the team’s true top receiver but Murray would still have a lot of talent to throw to.
We will get Hopkins, as well as Murray and Jones’, official status for Sunday on Friday afternoon and keep you updated here.
