#Texans RB David Johnson has passed his physical, sources say. @JamesPalmerTV mentioned #AZCardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins passed his as well. So everything appears to be a go on that trade. Should be official soon.

There is no going back now.
On Wednesday, receiver DeAndre Hopkins passed his physical to join the Arizona Cardinals, and running back David Johnson similarly passed his physical to join the Houston Texans. That meant that the trade for the two players, and the Texans giving up their 2020 fourth-round pick for the Cardinals’ 2020 second-rounder (40th overall) and 2021 fourth-round selection, is now official.
The Cardinals are getting a three-time All-Pro in Hopkins to pair with Larry Fitzgerald and provide another target for quarterback Kyler Murray. The Texans are getting a former 2016 All-Pro eager to prove that lone meritorious season wasn’t a fluke.
“PASSED THE PHYSICAL,” Johnson tweeted on Wednesday. “Can’t wait to get started with my teammates and the [Houston Texans] organization.”
PASSED THE PHYSICAL. Can’t wait to get started with my teammates and the @HoustonTexans organization. 🤘🏾💯

Adding Johnson to the Texans’ offense also gives Houston another pass-catching running back, similar to Duke Johnson. The difference is that the former Cardinal has proven his ability to be a lead rusher, not just a specialty back. Adding Johnson to the mix also solves the problem for 2020 as to who will take a majority of the carries.
