Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was panelized twice on one play in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Rams. He was penalized for offensive pass interference on a play in which he made an absolutely brilliant catch. Incredulous at the call, Hopkins then argued with the official and then gave him the middle finger, which prompted a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.
He was fined for that penalty.
#Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins was fined $28,075 for unsportsmanlike conduct last week against the #Rams. Hopkins was also flagged for yelling at officials over an offensive pass interference call in Arizona’s season-ending loss.

He was fined $28,075 for the penalty.
According to the Arizona Republic’s Bob Mcmanaman, it was the only time the entire season a Cardinals player was fined by the league.
The penalty hurt the team and now Hopkins will be a little lighter in the wallet. However, Hopkins should be fine. He got a $27.5 million signing bonus to his contract extension earlier this year. While losing over $28K is never a good thing, he will probably be able to survive.
