DeAndre Hopkins, Devon Kennard among 6 Cardinals who do not practice

Check out the Cardinals’ initial injury report of Week 4.

The Arizona Cardinals released their first injury report of the week, as they prepare for their Week 4 road matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Six players sat out Wednesday’s practice and another four were limited.

Veteran defensive lineman Corey Peters and receiver Larry Fitzgerald were given the day off. This is not surprising.

There were two previously unknown injuries. Receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who would normally have had the day off, was listed with an ankle injury and linebacker Devon Kennard also missed practice. He was listed with a calf injury.

Safeties Budda Baker, who had thumb surgery this week, and Chris Banjo, who left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury, both also did not practice.

Receiver Christian Kirk, who missed Sunday’s game with a groin injury, and center Mason Cole, who missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, both were limited. Cole had not practiced in two weeks and Kirk missed practice all last week.

Defensive lineman Zach Allen (knee) and linebacker Dennis Gardeck (foot) also were limited.
