DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk expected to play for Cardinals vs. Panthers

Hopkins is questionable with an ankle injury that kept him out of practice all week. Kirk was limited all week with a groin injury.

The Arizona Cardinals entered the weekend with two of their starting wide receivers listed as questionable for this weekend. Set to take on the Carolina Panthers on the road Sunday morning, DeAndre Hopkins, dealing with an ankle injury, and Christian Kirk, recovering from a groin injury that kept him out of last week’s game, are officially listed as questionable for the game.

But they should be in the lineup if things go as planned.

According to ESPN’s Adm Schefter, both are expected to play as long as there are no pregame setbacks.

Hopkins did not practice all week but Hopkins has only missed two games his entire career. Kirk was limited all week. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he would not be at 100%.

Hopkins currently leads the NFL with 32 catches for 356 yards.

The Cardinals will need all the help they can get offensively because they are depleted in the secondary. They will have their fourth and fifth safeties in the starting lineup and could be without cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, questionable for the game with a concussion.
