It wasn’t necessarily the Raiders’ plan coming into this season to trade Davante Adams. But if it came to that, they wanted to wait until closer to the trade deadline. And it’s looking like they may get their wish…whether they like it or not.
Earlier this week Jay Glazer said some teams who are interested in Adams are “slow playing it” with regard to trading for the disgruntled All Pro receiver. Supposedly either because they want to pay less for him — his salary goes down around $900K each week that goes by — or to bring down what the Raiders will accept in trade.
Officially Adams dealing with a hamstring injury that popped up in practice the week after the team’s loss to the Panthers and has been lingering.
The thing is though, at this point, the Raiders can’t just put him back on the field. And, so, unsurprisingly before the week’s practices begin, the reports already have Adams expected to miss the next game.

This will be the third straight game Adams has missed. Two weeks ago he was ruled OUT just a day after initially leaving practice with the injury, when normally you’d expect his status to be Questionable. Then three days later he requested a trade.
Days later the reports were that he would be out 1-2 weeks with his hamstring injury. For such uncertainty about his injury, it sure seems early in the week to already assume he will miss the game, doesn’t it?
Yeah, something tells me the moment he is traded, that hamstring is going to miraculously feel a whole lot better.
