The NFL announced the offseason schedule for all 32 teams Thursday morning. We now know when the Arizona Cardinals will hold their offseason practices — rookie minicamp, OTAs (organized team activities) and mandatory minicamp.
OTAs begin Phase 3 of the offseason program and teams can hold non-contact practices at full speed.
Teams may have 10 OTA practices, but they are voluntary.
The dates for the Cardinals’ practices are below:
- Rookie minicamp: May 14-16
- OTAs: May 25-27, June 2-4, June 7-10
- Mandatory minicamp: June 15-17
After June 17, the team will break for the summer until training camp, which will start in late July, assuming there will be a full preseason this year.
It will be interesting to see how much participation there is in the voluntary part of the offseason. The players union has urged players to stay home this offseason. Players from many teams have come out and made statements that they will be staying out of all in-person voluntary workouts.
The players from the Cardinals have not offered such a statement.
