Daryl Morey welcomes new Sixers big man Dwight Howard on Twitter

The Philadelphia 76ers welcome Dwight Howard to the team on Twitter.

The Philadelphia 76ers are continuing to make huge changes up and down their organization from the coach to the front office and now the roster. New President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey has been making big adjustments to their roster to make the necessary adjustments.

One underrated addition was him bringing in Dwight Howard on a 1-year $2.6 million deal to make sure the team has a reliable backup behind star big man Joel Embiid. The Sixers have been looking for somebody to provide production during that time Embiid goes to the bench and they feel confident in what they have in Howard as well as rookie Paul Reed.

The Sixers made the signing official on Saturday and Morey wanted to welcome the big man to Philadelphia while on Twitter and Howard then responded that he’s ready to help bring a title to the city.

The Sixers have always been in the running in the Eastern Conference, but they also still needed some more pieces to truly compete for a title. Morey now feels like he has the team moving in the right direction again with the Howard addition who played under Morey with the Houston Rockets in the past. [lawrence-related id=39372,39368,39337]
