The Philadelphia 76ers have had a busy week as they made a couple of really big trades in order to improve the roster and they also did a great job of drafting for the needs that they have to fill.
The moves are expected to help star duo Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid succeed on the offensive end after a failed season in 2019-20. They did not have the same offensive success they had in the past as some moves they made in the 2019 offseason did not pan out the way they expected.
New President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey joined 97.5 The Fanatic on Monday to discuss the recent flurry of moves. He recently explained the additions of Danny Green and Seth Curry and he added even more explanation on those moves.
"We knew the Ben and Joel plus shooting around them, just kills anybody." – @dmorey on a plan of attack this offseason

Simmons and Embiid have received a lot of criticism for not winning in the past and there has been some talks of even splitting them up in order to find a better fitting roster, but Morey also shut that down.
"We got to get rid of that noise. We love Ben and Joel. I think Sam Hinkie said it when he came out of his groundhog hole, that fans went through the process for those two players. Why would we try and ship them out? Doc and I are here for a reason." – @dmorey on moving on

The Sixers will have high expectations when the 2020-21 season begins and they have a little less than a month to get themselves ready for what is sure to be an interesting season. [lawrence-related id=39409,39406,39403]
