Darvin Ham: Lakers expect LeBron James back at some point this season

Lakers coach Darvin Ham says LeBron James’ rehab from his injury is “going according to plan” and that he should return this season.

Since suffering a right foot tendon injury three weeks ago in a win against the Dallas Mavericks, LeBron James has been out for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he is inching closer to a return.

For a while after the injury, he was wearing a walking boot, but about a week ago he was seen coming into Crypto.com Arena without the boot or even a  noticeable limp.

In more recent days, James has been doing some light shooting drills, although he isn’t putting much pressure on his feet.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham said the team anticipates him returning at some point this season (h/t Lakers Daily).

Ham has also said James is doing intense three-a-day workouts in order to make sure he can return as soon as possible.

After losing three of its last four games, Los Angeles has fallen out of the Western Conference play-in tournament picture and is in 11th place. The team, however, is still just two games behind sixth place, which is currently held by the Dallas Mavericks, the team it lost to in cruel fashion on Friday.
