Darius Leonard, Quenton Nelson make PFWA All-AFC Team

The Maniac and Big Q recognized by the PFWA.

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard and left guard Quenton Nelson were named to the PFWA All-AFC Team for the 2019 season. Nelson was also selected to the PFWA’s All-NFL Team.

Both Leonard and Nelson enjoyed another strong season to start their careers. Nelson earned a trip to the Pro Bowl and a First-Team All-Pro nod for the second year in a row while Leonard earned his first Pro Bowl selection and a place on the All-Pro second team.

Nelson has been the driving force of the offensive line since he arrived in 2018 as the No. 6 overall pick in the draft. He continues to ascend up the ranks of offensive linemen around the league and should be considered arguably the top guard in the NFL.

Nelson has started all 16 games in each of his first two seasons, which means he’s putting availability and production together on one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.

Leonard had a slow start to the season due to some injuries, but he bounced back incredibly during the second half of the season. He finished with 121 tackles (71 solo), 5.0 sacks, six passes defended and seven tackles for loss.

The second-year linebacker is improving in coverage while maintaining his elite ability to help against the run.
