Danuel House Jr. discusses his health as he returns to Sixers from illness

Philadelphia 76ers wing player Danuel House Jr. discusses his health as he returns to the floor from a non-COVID illness.

CAMDEN, N.J. — The Philadelphia 76ers grew a little healthier on Wednesday when they welcomed Danuel House Jr. back to the floor at practice. The veteran wing player missed two games due to a non-COVID illness.

Now that he is back at practice before the team’s road game against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, he is looking to regain his wind, rhythm and conditioning on the floor.

“Putting in extra work,” said House Jr. “I just stayed later to get some extra shots up. It’s one step at a time. It’s a day-by-day process. I just gotta work through it.”

At the moment, the Sixers are still integrating their new additions and working through the consequences of the injury to James Harden. House’s return would give Philadelphia a boost to its bench and enhance their continuity.

“It’s still a work in progress,” House Jr. added. “Still young, still growing, but showing you growth before your eyes. We’re tweaking, we’re talking, we’re communicating, we’re getting better. It takes time.”

The Sixers look to build off their win on Monday and carry it into Atlanta against a very good Hawks team.
