Daniel Jeremiah mock 2.0: Raiders address need at tackle at 22

Daniel Jeremiah switches thing up in his mock 2.0, has Raiders address need at tackle at 22

Most mock drafts out there have the Raiders addressing the wide receiver position at 22 overall. That’s where NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah had the Raiders going in his first mock draft a month ago, selecting Ohio State’s Chris Olave. But in his latest mock draft, he changed that up.

Jeremiah instead has the Raiders addressing their need at tackle, selecting Mississippi State’s Charles Cross.

As Jeremiah notes, Cross would start from day one at right tackle.

That’s where Raiders’ top pick Alex Leatherwood started on day one. But that lasted just four games before he was moved inside to guard. Thus putting the Raiders in the same position this year as they were last year.

The 6-5, 305-pound Cross has started 20 games at left tackle the past two seasons for the Bulldogs.

As for Olave, Jeremiah has him coming off the board at No. 17 to the Chargers. While other receivers who have been commonly mocked to the Raiders such as Treylon Burks and Jameson Williams are still on the board at No. 22, but Jeremiah sees the Raiders addressing their other glaring need.
